Opening in December at Sawyer Yards, Velocity—Sim Racing Lounge will bring Houston its first immersive racing simulator experience. Blending high-end simulation, global cuisine, and racing-inspired entertainment, Velocity is a unique destination for car lovers and social thrill-seekers.

Founded by motorsport enthusiast Viet Tran, Velocity aims to make racing accessible and safe. After a motorcycle accident, Tran discovered the thrill of virtual racing and saw its potential as a social experience. “It’s a golden era for combining advanced hardware and software for realistic, safe racing experiences,” he explains.

Velocity’s bar and kitchen celebrate racing destinations with dishes from Japan, Italy, and North America, along with cocktails named after famous tracks and drivers. The space also includes pool tables, arcade games, and rare motorcycles on display, making it a vibrant social spot.

With plans to expand to Dallas and beyond, Velocity’s grand opening in January 2025 promises a fresh blend of high-speed excitement, cultural flair, and community for Houston.

Velocity offers 16 simulators with full motion systems and 180-degree panoramic views. Guests can drive cars like Lamborghinis on world-famous tracks or explore Houston’s 610 Loop, recreated by gaming studio Authentic Simulation. It’s a chance to channel the thrill of racing on familiar roads and iconic circuits alike.
