Andris’ story
I apologize for any spelling or grammar mistakes – English is not my native language.
My sim racing experience spans over 14 years. It all started because I previously worked in the motorsport department, and sports cars have always been close to my heart.
That is how my sim racing journey began. My first steps were on the PlayStation 3 with Gran Turismo 5 and a Logitech GT steering wheel mounted to a homemade sim rig.
Of course, over time that was no longer enough for me, so I moved to PC gaming and started building my rig more seriously, while also investing in higher-quality equipment.
And that is how I ended up where I am today.
Any advice for other sim racers?
In my opinion, it does not make you faster, but it greatly expands the overall feeling and immersion.
I would definitely recommend it because the experience and sensations that Qubic System provides gave me more than I expected.
I had already seen many videos about it before, but experiencing it myself was a completely different story and truly surprised me. That is why, when recommending it to others, I am confident that it will also create that same wow effect for them.
Why Qubic System?
I joined the Qubic ecosystem very recently – literally just two days ago.
My Qubic setup includes the active belt system, and my first impression was simply wow. It is the best upgrade I have ever experienced in terms of immersion and overall feeling.
I first heard about Qubic online through positive reviews and the active communication from the team on Discord. That was one of the main reasons why I decided to continue building my sim rig with Qubic equipment specifically.
FUTURE PLANS
My future plan is to add a 3DOF motion system, and of course I plan to stay within the Qubic ecosystem.
I am still considering the sim rig itself – whether to go with a Sim-Lab setup or a TR120/TR160.
My rig has become more like a personal project, and that is why I will continue developing and upgrading it, enjoying both the building process and the experience I get from using the equipment.
testimonial
My first two days of experience have been very comfortable and easy to understand.
