My journey into sim racing began over 13 years ago, when I purchased my first setup – a Fanatec belt-driven base paired with pedals. Around the same time, I also subscribed to iRacing. My first simulator rig was self-built using metal pipes, and the seat came from a Toyota car. While the aesthetics left much to be desired, the setup served its purpose and brought immense enjoyment.

Over the years, I went through numerous hardware upgrades. Today, I believe I’ve assembled what is – in my opinion – the ultimate sim racing setup.

If your budget allows, I highly recommend investing in Qubic System products. A great starting point is the QS-BT1 Active Belt Tensioner, which provides an excellent introduction to the motion ecosystem. For a more immersive experience, the QS-220 motion platform is a must-have – it delivers critical feedback on vehicle dynamics, enhancing realism and driving performance.

I spent considerable time evaluating different manufacturers and technologies in order to elevate my sim racing experience. After extensive research and watching numerous YouTube reviews, I narrowed my options down to two leading motion system providers: Qubic System and D-BOX.

After carefully analyzing the performance, value, and technological approach of both manufacturers, I ultimately chose Qubic System. Upon installing and launching the Qubic System QS-220 linear actuators, I immediately realized I had made the right decision. The first run was nothing short of spectacular – for the first time, I truly felt like I was driving a real car. In time, I further enhanced my setup by adding the Qubic System QS-BT1 Active Belt Tensioner.
