The pivot is usually installed at the front of the rig, but it can also be mounted at the back with the actuators placed in the front. This setup changes the driving feel in an interesting way.

What you can expect in this configuration:

  • feedback from the front axle feels more direct and intuitive,
  • effects such as front wheel slip (slip angle) and ABS under braking become easier to sense,
  • there is a stronger connection between what happens on screen and what you feel in the cockpit,
  • the overall motion is a little softer, with less intensity from the rear.

Although this is not the default arrangement, it shows how flexible the system is and how easily it can be tuned to match personal driving style and preference.

QS-Pivot is a Qubic System accessory. To use it, it is necessary to use it together with a pair of QS-210 or QS-220 actuators.

QS-Pivot is compatible with most aluminum cockpits available on the market. For mounting holes width details, see the User Manual.

The QS-Pivot + QS-210 and QS-220 set is fully integrated with Qubic Manager and offers the same user interface and tuning capabilities as motion platforms.

Yes, installation to typical aluminum based cockpit is pretty simple.

QS-Pivot is designed for sim racing enthusiasts who want to enter the world of premium motion and experience the best hardware Qubic System has to offer — without the need to invest a fortune. It’s the perfect solution for those seeking high-end performance at a more accessible entry point.

When using the QS-Pivot, the available operation mode is limited to Heavy-Duty. This mode ensures optimal stability and performance within the mechanical limits of the system when the pivot mechanism is active.

Other operation modes, such as Performance or Q-MODE, are not supported in this configuration due to load distribution and dynamic constraints.

The QS-Pivot supports two degrees of freedom: roll (rotation around the X-axis), pitch (rotation around the Y-axis) and simulates heave(Z-axis movement), which is why we call it 2.5DOF (heave motion pattern combined from pitch axis).
