MARC’s story

My simracing journey started a long, long time ago in the mid 80s’ when I discovered REVS on my C64.

In those days steering hardware didn’t exist, but I got addicted to racing from day one. Later, when I got my first PC, I used to play Micropose Grand Prix, using the keyboard to steer.

Then, on the first Playstation, I played Colin McRae Rally with the Playstation Controller. With the release of Grand Prix Legends my “real” Simracing career started, as I got my first steering wheel (a Logitech Mono with serial connection over the joystick port). Still later, Assetto Corsa, Raceroom & iRacing followed and forced me to invest in my first Chassis, a Simetik with a Thrustmaster T500. A year later, I went all in for the real deal: Simlab, Simucube, Triple Monitors etc…

Any advice for other sim racers?

Why Qubic System?

I discovered Qubic System while watching my Simracing Channels on Youtube. The positive reviews attracted my attention. I already had motion on my rig, but I’m always interested in what the competition is doing. The only thing missing was a belt tensioner, so when Qubic released the QS-BT1 with the direct drive technology inside, there was no doubt that this was the way to go.

And what a good choice this was! It fulfilled all my expectations, and then some! This QS-BT1 convinced me 100000%!

Future Plans

I don’t have any near plans to upgrade but “never say never”.

testimonial

I ordered my QS-BT1 from the Sim Race Webshop, the delivery was fast.
My first tought was that it was really heavy (16 kilos).
Installing it on my Simlab chassis was very easy.
The Sparco 6 point belts took most of the time, but after 2 hours everything was properly installed.
The software side was easy and self-explanatory, so nothing to complain about.
And oh boy! The first time I used the brakes in my favorite sim I was blown away.
Not just braking, but gear shifts, curbs, centrifugal force, every effect is so well done, so finely detailled, I think I’ll never drive again without the QS-BT1.
At first I was afraid the combination with Qubic and D-Box motion would have some compatibility problems…but no, everything works together like a charm.
