BeGamers24 with the QS-BT1 belt tensioner

BeGamers24 Puts QS-BT1 to the Test

BeGamers24 kept reading nothing but praise for our QS-BT1 belt tensioner, so they bought one to find out for themselves whether it’s worth the money. The result is a thorough video, in Italian: the installation, a tour of Qubic Manager, then laps of Le Mans Ultimate on a four-point harness and again on a six-point one.

Four points or six?

This is the part to watch if you’re still choosing a harness. BeGamers24 starts on a Trak Racer four-point and has a good time: if you just want to have fun, it’s not bad at all. But under hard braking and on gear changes, the belts climb toward the collarbones.

Then comes a Sabelt six-point, with the same settings. The straps running under the seat hold the belts down, so the pull stays lower and feels more controlled, cornering forces turn less abrupt, and the driver sits more firmly in the seat. “It changes everything,” they say after one very hard stop.

That fits what we say about harnesses: all three types work, most of our own testing is done on a five-point, and a four-point belt can travel upwards. There’s more in the QS-BT1 FAQ.

What you’ll see in the video

  • A 20 to 25 minute install, done alone, with brackets that make mounting easy.
  • A full tour of Qubic Manager: per-game settings, community profiles to import, and every effect, from braking and G-forces to engine vibration, gear changes and curbs.
  • Braking as the highlight. “Braking while downshifting is the best thing the belt does.” The belts hold the body back the way a seat belt does in a real car.
  • Cornering that pulls the right way. In a right-hander, the belt holds the body on the left side, as it would on the road.
  • A rig already full of haptics. With bass shakers, a vibrating seat and active pedals alongside, BeGamers24 shows how to choose what the belts should carry. ABS, for one, stays on the pedal.

The verdict

“It’s spectacular” is how the conclusion opens. For BeGamers24, who usually race in VR, the belts are a step up in immersion, “if not two”, and they wouldn’t know how to do without them now. They’re upfront that it isn’t a cheap accessory and recommend it anyway, pointing to how complete and configurable the software is as the reason it costs more than a home-built tensioner.

It went so well that a motion system is next on the channel. We’ll be watching.

About QS-BT1

QS-BT1 is a dual-channel seatbelt tensioner. Each shoulder belt has its own direct drive pulling up to 200 N, so braking, cornering, wheel lock and traction loss reach you through the harness. It runs bolted to a motion platform or entirely on its own.
